Training 1 of 3
Evaluate Your Volunteer Roles:
Take a Fresh Look + Revise Your Strategy
When was the last time you evaluated your volunteer role descriptions?
Are there certain volunteer roles you struggle to fill?
Do you have a formal request process for specific volunteer opportunities?
And most importantly, how do you continue to adapt your roles to recruit + retain the volunteers of today?
In this workshop, participants will have a chance to review a variety of volunteer descriptions, survey their own with a new lens, and identify what’s missing to make impactful adjustments. You will leave this workshop with methods to evaluate and refine your volunteer roles now and in the future.
Training 2 of 3
Assess Your Processes:
How to Make Things Easier!
People want to give their time in meaningful ways! But, sometimes our processes are the barriers to that connection.
Together, we will discuss:
-
What’s the average time between a volunteer inquiry and that volunteer’s first shift?
-
How often are prospective volunteers confused about the necessary steps to get started?
-
Are your onboarding processes helping you bring in qualified volunteers, or hindering you?
Often we can’t remove these steps. But what can we do to streamline, simplify, or lay out the path more clearly for prospective volunteers so they don’t get frustrated and give up before they even get started?
In this session, we'll work to mitigate tedious steps to make volunteering more accessible.
